No Third Runway!
Giving a voice for those under Heathrow flightpaths
The Heathrow Association for the Control of Noise Control (HACAN) approached us to help campaign against the proposed third runway at Heathrow Airport. An extra runway would also add 300,000 additional flights and 25 million more car and lorry journeys a year, creating illegally high levels of noise and air pollution in the capital. TfL have also calculated the cost to taxpayers to adapt surface transport would be £20 billion.
We created powerful advertising billboards and posters along with informative flyers that were delivered to over 1,000,000 households in greater London, highlighting the impact that a third runway would have on their lives. The flyers also promoted a major cross party rally held in Parliament Square on October 16th 2015, where 1000’s turned out to hear MPs and campaigners speak about the disruption it would cause.
In December 2015 the Government announced postponement of final decision on airport expansion over environmental concerns.
