“I see Jory&Co as an invaluable part of our Communications and Marketing team, working alongside us to develop and manage our brand identity, providing us with creative direction, challenging us to think differently and supporting us to raise the quality of our design output. Their work is consistently great; they care about the standard they produce. And they’re easy to work with, flexible and clear. Quite simply, they’re the perfect partner for our creative design needs.”

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award’s brand had grown tired. It felt formulaic, lacked impact, and no longer reflected the modern, progressive organisation DofE had become.

We were brought in to evolve the visual identity and tone of voice — building on what already existed, but pushing it further. The brief was clear: keep DofE in the right space. Not trying to be cool, not playing it safe. Still challenging, still fun, still credible — just with more emotion and energy behind it.

The refreshed brand is bolder and more contemporary. A punchier colour palette, photography that feels emotional rather than literal — unexpected angles, colour treatments that stop you mid-scroll — and a tone of voice that’s inspiring, motivating, and refreshingly to the point.

We also developed comprehensive brand and partner guidelines, giving everyone in the DofE ecosystem the tools and clarity to use the system consistently and confidently.
