Everland helps people prosper by protecting forests and wildlife. Their work supports climate change mitigation while improving livelihoods in places where conservation really matters. With active projects across Cambodia, Colombia and Madagascar, Everland needed a digital platform that could clearly communicate complex, technical project data without losing the human story behind the work.

We partnered with Everland to design and build a new public website alongside a bespoke project portal, giving partners, investors and stakeholders easy access to the information they rely on, while showcasing the scale and credibility of Everland’s impact.

The problem

Everland’s work is detailed, data-heavy and technically complex by nature. Each project involves layers of environmental data, documentation, mapping and reporting, all of which needs to be accurate, transparent and up to date.

The challenge was twofold:

• Externally, the existing website didn’t fully reflect the scale, quality or ambition of Everland’s work. Complex information was hard to digest, and the story of impact risked being lost in the detail.
• Internally, managing and updating project information was time-consuming and inefficient. As Everland’s portfolio grew, so did the need for a system that was flexible, structured and future-proof.

Everland needed a solution that could handle serious complexity, without overwhelming users or creating extra work for their team.

The solution

We designed and built a new website and custom project portal that balance clarity, credibility and ease of use.

On the main website, we focused on storytelling and immersion. Stunning photography, interactive maps and scroll-based data visualisations bring Everland’s projects to life, helping users understand where the work happens and why it matters.

On the project portal, the focus shifted to structure, usability and depth. We worked closely with the Everland team to map out exactly what different users need to see, when, and in what level of detail. The result is a carefully considered UX that distils large amounts of technical information into clear, navigable content.

Key elements included:

• Interactive maps and data visualisations that reveal detail progressively, without overwhelming the user
• Clear, consistent project structures that make complex information easy to scan and explore
• Downloadable, beautifully formatted project PDFs for reporting, sharing and offline use
• A streamlined content management system that allows the Everland team to update projects quickly and confidently as their portfolio evolves
